Disadvantages of All-Inclusive Honeymoon Resorts
Monday, August 25th, 2008In case you have not noticed yet from the tone of posts on this blog, I am a big fan of all inclusive deals for your honeymoon. I think the honeymoon is a great time to focus on each other, and not on seeing the world.
Still, there are some disadvantages of getting everything in one package.
First, you have little control over your itinerary or schedule. Once you hit the resort, you are pretty much expected to stay there, unless you pony up extra fundage for side trips.
Second, costs may be higher depending on the package you selected. There are times when hours of careful research could have saved you some money over the all-inclusive pricing offered by your resort. They have to calculate costs based on the “average” visitor, so you may not do as many activities, or eat as much food, as average, so you could have saved a little mula.
Finally, well, I can’t think of any more disadvantages. I think all inclusive is pretty much the way to go on most honeymoons. Unless you are the super-adventurous, or the super cheapskate type, all inclusive will work great for you and your new spouse.
